Dr. George G. Zhanel

Dr. George G. Zhanel "CAN-R continues to grow under my leadership. As Editor-in-Chief, I will continue to work with a multidisciplinary group of Canadian experts to improve this unique, multipurpose, multidisciplinary infectious diseases/medical microbiology content based website which addresses Canadian issues in antimicrobial/antifungal resistance and antimicrobial/ antifungal usage. This website is the official website of the Canadian Antimicrobial Resistance Alliance (CARA) which focuses on both community (e.g. respiratory and urinary) and hospital (e.g. ICU, nosocomial, respiratory, urinary, fungal and MDR) infections. The content available through the CAN-R website has also evoked interest from the global infectious diseases/microbiology community, and has become a resource that reaches out to healthcare professionals/researchers in many countries, where issues of antimicrobial resistance and appropriate antimicrobial utilization parallel those of North America."
